Pale purple coneflower is an elegant addition to a sunny garden. It blooms early in the season, from June to July. The plant can grow to 1.50 m tall.

Ecology:
Larval host plant for skippers. Butterflies, bees of all sizes, and hummingbirds love this plant for collecting nectar or pollen.

Growing conditions:

It requires good drainage; otherwise, the roots will rot in winter. Dry, sun to lightly shaded conditions, drought tolerant, once established. It can grow in nutrient-poor soil. The long taproots break up heavy clay and allow the plant to be drought tolerant once established.
