C$6.50Price
Anise Hyssop grows up to 1.20 m tall.
Lots of spikes of lavender flowers bloom between July and September. The leaves are fragrant when crushed, reminiscent of mint and licorice, and can be used as tea or eaten raw.
Ecology:
It's a bee magnet! Lots of nectar attract butterflies, skippers, hummingbirds and even moths at night. In winter, the seeds provide food for songbirds.
Growing conditions:
In the wild, anise hyssop grows at forest edges, floodplains, along rivers and lakes, on rocky slopes and in prairies. Full sun to part sun. It is very adaptable to various soil types and medium to dry soil conditions, and once established, it is drought-tolerant.
