Volunteer Opportunities

 through Pollinator Garden with Dorte

Thank you for reaching out and expressing your interest in volunteering with us. For 2026, Pollinator Garden partnered with Variety Village to water, weed and edit the plantings we created over the last two years.

We have planted over 100 trees and shrubs and created extensive wild pollinator gardens around the upper parking lot.

As a volunteer, you will make a real difference by helping water the trees and getting them off to a good start.

You can also help care for the pollinator gardens that won second place in the Toronto Garden Awards. To foster a vibrant, biodiverse garden, volunteer contributions will be key, as we will need to weed and water, move, and add native perennial flowers this season to establish the planting and create a welcoming space for the community.

Help is appreciated in any form. You can volunteer for just one event, or become a Variety Village Garden Steward and help regularly to observe and learn how native plants behave as a plant community.

Please let me know what you are interested in helping with and when you are usually available.

I'll add you to the email list and will be in touch in May with more details about upcoming opportunities and how you can get involved in the 2026 garden season. In the meantime, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or specific interests.

Thank you for offering to help! It takes a village to make a garden :). The Variety Village Garden Stewards look forward to working with you!

Thanks for submitting!
