Virginia mountain mint, Pycnanthemum virginianum

 

Attains heights of 30 - 75 cm. White flowers in clusters bloom between July and September.
Minty fragrance, leaves can be used to make tea.
Its great amount of nectar attracts different species of pollinators as well as beneficial predators and parasitoids.

 

Growing conditions:

 Dry to moist soil. Sun to part shade.
