Virginia mountain mint, Pycnanthemum virginianum

 

Attains heights of 30 - 75 cm. White flowers in clusters bloom between July and September. Minty fragrance, leaves can be used to make tea.

 

Ecology:
Its great amount of nectar attracts different species of pollinators as well as beneficial predators and parasitoids.

 

Growing conditions:

Dry to moist soil. Sun to part shade.
